St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, was filled with divine charm and festive fervour as the campus came alive for the grand celebration of Janmashtami. The event, dedicated to the birth of Lord Krishna, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the pre-primary students, whose innocence and joy added a special charm to the occasion.
The highlight of the celebration was the enchanting Radha and Krishna dress-up, where the little ones adorned traditional attire, embellished with vibrant colours, ornaments, and peacock feathers, perfectly capturing the essence of the divine duo. The graceful Radhas and playful Krishnas lit up the atmosphere with their sweet smiles and innocence.
The programme began with devotional bhajans, followed by a captivating dance performance portraying scenes from Lord Krishna’s childhood. The melodious tunes and rhythmic steps brought alive the joyous spirit of the festival. Teachers and students joined in singing Krishna bhajans, further enhancing the cultural vibrance of the occasion.
Associate Joint Director Mansi Singh, appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and staff, commending the creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication that made the event a grand success.
The celebration concluded with the traditional breaking of the Dahi Handi, symbolising unity and teamwork. The event not only helped the young learners connect with India’s rich cultural heritage but also created cherished memories filled with devotion, joy, and togetherness.
