III Ranbir Singh Memorial Tournament (Taekwondo-Skating)

III Ranbir Singh Memorial Inter School Taekwondo Tournament was organized at St.Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar.Around forty schools across the town participated in the event. Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, Minister Science and Technology, Govt. of Rajasthan was the Chief Guest for the occasion and Mr. Sunil Bhagsara, N.S.U.I President, University of Rajasthan pressed over the function. The Chief Guest lit the inaugural baton and declared the opening of the tournament. After that tournament commenced. It was a three day event in which various teams stayed in the campus from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All the teams were escorted by the coaches and instructors. About 500 students from 30 different CBSE schools participated in the competition held from 19th Dec to 22nd Dec’2011.The entire event was full of joy and enthusiasm as all the participants played very well with high as well as healthy sporting spirit. The Felicitation Ceremony of the Competition was also organized with great zeal and enthusiasm. Chief Guest Mr. Rajan Mahan (Director, NDTV, Rajasthan) awarded the winners and motivated the participants, emphasizing the importance of sports in one’s life. St. Edmund’s school won the trophy in Martial Arts.Indo- Bharat School stood second whereas Maheshwari Public school won the Third position. Parasrampuria International School won the First position in Skating Competition. St. Edmund’s School won the Second position and Third position was awarded to S.V. Public School. To conclude the occasion, Principal Dr.Pooja Singh proposed the Vote of thanks to the Honorable guests as well as to the coaches and instructors of the various teams who came to witness and participate in the events. She also congratulated the winners and inspired the participants by her wisdom words and wished them good luck for future.
The Palette...defining colors of life Annual Function 2011

St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar,organized its grand ‘Annual Day function- ‘The Palette’ at Birla Auditorium. The theme depicted that ‘Colours’ are an inseparable part of our lives.The students like an artist portrays different scenes showing different colors with their importance. Colors give fragrance, motivation and excitement to our lives and it was truly being seen in the enthusiastic performance of the children. Mrs. Jyoti Khandelwal,Mayor,Jaipur City was the chief guest for the occassion. The children dressed up in traditional costumes welcomed the guests. The function commenced with Garlanding of Lord Ganesha and offering Saraswati Vandana to Goddess.It was followed by the Play ‘AKBAR THE GREAT IN 21st CENTURY’. The court was set accordingly and the other part depicted the importance of colors in our lives. The function commenced with white color as well as concluded with white color. Other colors like red, blue, green and yellow symbolizing bravery, courage, prosperity and determination respectively. The main attraction was the thrilling performance of tiny toddlers of Pre-Primary and Primary section. We felt like reaching to the moon with the song ‘Aao tumhe chaand pe le jyaye’ and ever sizzling song ‘Senorita’made the audience dance to the rhythm of the tunes. The Principal Dr. Pooja Singh read the Annual Report and meritorious students of 2010-11were awarded with prizes and certificates by the guests. The function ended with Aashirvachnam by the Chief Guest which really encouraged inspired and charged the students.
St Edmund’s wins GOLD in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation organized III International Asia WUKF Karate Championship in Shahid Shohrawardy Indoor Stadium at Mirpur,Dhaka on 25th January-30th January. About 18 countries ie Brazil, Sri Lanka, Romania, Nepal, Pakistan including India participated in the Championship categorised under the basis of age,weight and Belt category. Alzeenia Faim Qureshi,Aman Faim Qureshi and Sapan Tilokani of St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur participated and proudly won Silver and Bronze medal for our country. School’s coach Shriram Choudhary also won Gold medal in the honor of representing the Best Coach. Principal Mrs. Meena Singh congratulated the children for making our institution proud by winning at International level and motivated them tofurther take part in such games to make our country proud.
Farewell 2011

The students, staff and management of St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar bade farewell to the outgoing students of XII Std. Principal Mrs. Meena Singh and Vice-Principal Mrs. Pooja Singh offered prayers to Lord Ganesha for bright and successful future of the students in the forthcoming exams and life ahead. Cultural event commenced with Ganesh Vandana followed by power packed dance performance of XI Std. which was full of feelings and emotions for their departing seniors. Entire aura became more sentimental when ex-head boy Mohit Mutha shared his experiences of school-days and the last day. Felicitations to the students of XII Std. was the most awaited event and it was quite difficult to choose only one for each category. Boys were looking handsome and elegant in their Suits and girls were beautiful gorgeous graceful in their Sarees. Mohit Mutha and Harshita Singh were given the awards of Mr. Edmund’s and Ms. Edmund’s based on their year long performances. Aporv Sharma & Shetakshi were Mr. Farewell and Ms. Farewell, Beautiful Smile of Deepika Khatri and degant style of Sammer Malhotra won the hearts of one and all. Best in Co-curricular Activities Award was given to Karishma Sahani and Sagar Kewalramani. In the end Principal Mrs. Meena Singh blessed the students with her inspiring words and asked them to tread on the path of truth and humanity. Vice-Principal Mrs. Pooja Singh shared experiences of her student life and congratulated the winners of the day and wished them for their bright future ahead.
Rishtey...a call for being human, Annual Function 2010

Annual Cultural Fiesta 2010 of St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar was organized at Biral Auditorium. It was based on the theme ‘RISHTEY’ … a call for being human’ depicting the importance of humanism in one’s life Sh. P.I. Sabu (Joint Secretary Central Board of Secondary Education and Regional Officer, Ajmer Region) was the Chief Guest for the grand evening. Director Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh and Principal Mrs. Meena Singh welcomed the guest in a traditional manner. The event commenced with garlanding Lord Ganesha lighting the inaugural lamp and paying tribute to Late Sh. Ranbir Singh Ji – the founder of the Institution. It was followed by the display of Annual Report and felicitation ceremony. All meritorious students as well as students with outstanding performances were awarded by Sh. Sabu. The cultural programme started with meticulous performances of ‘Ganesha Vandana’ followed by thrilling and power packed performances of Tiny-Toddlers of Pre-primary and budding artists of primary section. The audience was spell bound while looking at the various aspects of relations in life and understanding their importance at various stages. It was displayed through various historical characters like – Krishna-Sudama, Meera-Krishna, Shravan Kumar etc. depicting the relations beyond blood relations like soldier, deputed at Border, symbol of humanity – Mother Teresa etc. In short, it was a magnanimous effort of students to reveal their sentiments in two and a half hours. In the end, Sh. Sabu encouraged the students with his words of wisdom and blessings and asked them to tread on the path of truth and become a true INDIAN.
French Delegates visit to St Edmund's School, Jaipur
The campus of St Edmund’s School, jawahar nagar was echoing with the sound of “Padharo Mahare Desh” while they were welcoming the Troup of French delegates during their two days visit on 16th and 17th august. French guests were excited when they were being welcomed by putting tilaks on their foreheads and garlands around their necks. They came here to interact with the students of std. VI to std. VIII about the rich and unique heritage of our country India. They conversed with the students in their native language French and were amazed to see the students replying to them with ease. They had various interactive sessions with various students. Both the delegates and the students enjoyed the exchange. They played various indoor and outdoor games with the students of the school. They played basket ball match with the students of the senior section of the school and were astonished to see their wonderful skills. Principal Mrs. Meena Singh presented each of them with a memento as a token of love and remembrance.
An Edmundite's Achievement - Garima Ganeshia : One of the Youngest and the most adventurous Commercial Pilot

“Garima” as the name suggests “GRACE”. She has brought ‘grace’ to her nation by spreading her fragrance to the entire boundaries of International Garden. She was a meritorious student of our school from batch 2005-06. She has received accolades for the “Best Pilot” at a tender age of 20 years from the Union Aviation Academy at Johannesburg, the capital of South Africa. She got her Commercial Pilot license after completing merely 200 hours of flying. On her victorious return to the motherland, she was felicitated by the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. As she hails from the historical state of Rajasthan, she has been the Guest of Honour for the dignitaries of State as well. His excellency Late Shri S.K Singh, Governor of Rajasthan also patted her back and congratulated her for her brilliant success. Among others who were overwhelmed by her achievements were Ex Vice President, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Ex Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Anshuman Singh, Transport Minister, Shri Brij Kishore Sharma And Ex Vice Chancellor, Shri K.K Kamal etc. Apart from this, the flying queen has also been awarded Brahman Ratna by Jagat Guru Shankaracharya. School Staff and management is delighted to see this delicate girl flying and soaring heights in the sky. Entire Edmund’s family congratulates “Garima” for her magnanimous success and wishes her EVER BRIGHT FUTURE.
DANCE COMPETITION & HOLI Celebration
To keep the tradition of celebrating festival of colours “Holi” ongoing and to fill the hearts of tiny kids with colourful, radiant and vibrant sentiments, a dance competition was organized on Friday, 26 Feb 2010, in the elementary hall.
It was a group dance competition for the pre-primary section wherein different groups like “All is well, Sunshine, Zoobi-doobi and Holi Songs were the main attraction. The Sunshine Group of K.G emerged as the winner group followed by Zoobi and All is well groups respectively. The co-ordination of delicate tiny steps with rhythms of melody really spellbound everyone present in the hall.
Principal Mrs. Meena Singh was mesmerized to see the beautiful performance of tiny toddlers and Vice Principal Mrs. Pooja Singh congratulated the kids and inspired them with her blessings.
FOODelicious Day

To inculcate the habit of eating nutritious food, “Foodelicious Day” was organized for the tiny toddlers of Edmund’s Elementary. The teachers introduced them to the variety of nutrients and their vital importance. The brilliantly decorated and mouth watering delicious recipes were the attraction of the day. One could not resist his/her taste buds while looking at them and wanted to gobble it. The Principal and Vice Principal also witnessed their elaborate preparations and the children enjoyed their presence among themselves.
Farewell 2010

To bid adieu to the outgoing students farewell ceremony was organized in the premises of St Edmunds School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur. The entire campus was endowed with coloured patterns of the different costumes. Students of XI Std. were happy as well as depressed at the departure of their seniors of XII Std. outstanding student in the different spheres were awarded with medals and trophies. The main attraction of the event was the fashion show. Where all the contestants walked gracious on the ramp and were awarded with different titles. To top it all Rohan Maloo and Parineeta Singh were selected as the Mr. & Miss. Farewell respectively.
The event concluded with the blessing by the Vice Principal, Mrs. Pooja Singh followed by the sumptuous lunch.
