Students of senior classes of St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur gathered on 18 Feb 2017 to bid farewell to the outgoing class XII batch. The day was memorable for XII std students as the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.

All the class XII students were dressed up to their glamourous best. The boys looked dashing in their tuxedos and the girls who never fail to put on a show were draped in gorgeous sari bought for the occasion. The programme started with garlanding Lord Ganesha by Principal Anu Bhatia. The welcome speech was delivered by deputy Head Girl Kamakshi Sharma. An incredible dance drama- ‘ School Life’ was presented by class XI students in which scintillating dance performance and the pulsating music was mesmerizing. Now it was time for the felicitation ceremony. Saloni Jain and Khushboo Lalwani were declared as best in academics. Jyotsna Khatri and Saurabh Aswal were adjudged best in co-curricular activities. Neetu Meharwal and Ashish Sharma were declared best in sports. For Discipline Aqsa Ali and Pawan Pankaj was awarded. Mr. Farewell and Mr. Edmunds title were again badged by Saurabh Aswal. Dimple Gyanani was announced as Ms. Edmunds and Mansi Ahujha as Ms. Farewell other titles such as Face of Edmunds was given to Bhawna Punjabi, Eco Buddy of the school again Khushboo Lalwani, Mr. Ambidexter was Yashwant Bhojwani, Techno Wizard was given to Hitik Bhagwani, Nightingale of the school – Khushboo Jain.

Academic Director Mrs. Meena Singh gave a memento to each student.

Dr. Pooja Singh blessed the students and advised them to be focused and to put in the best efforts to excel in the Board Examination.

Deputy Director Mr. Kapil Singh in his speech blessed the outgoing batch and extended his good wishes to them for a bright, successful, and prosperous future.

St Edmund's School is trying to do a bit from their by donating Sweaters to 200 and above school children from slum areas. The woollens were donated to these children on the auspicious day of Basant Panchami when we worship Goddess Saraswati who is synonymous to intellect and learning . When our team reached school the children were already busy celebrating the festival but once they came to know about the reason of our visit everyone gathered around us. The teachers of the school arranged them class wise so that the distribution could take place and 2 of the students helped us to manage the woollens according to the sizes skill fully. The moment they received the sweaters and put it on with innocent smiles on their face as if showing gratitude to us.

St. Edmund’s School Sector-5, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur celebrated Basant Panchami which marks the end of winter season and onset of spring. The celebration commenced in the morning assembly when all students and teachers were gathered for prayer, the students were informed about the importance of the day and why it is celebrated. The students also offered their prayer to Goddess Saraswati. To mark the occasion the Pre-Primary children came dressed in yellow clothes, offered yellow coloured flower to the Goddess and also brought yellow coloured snacks to share with each other. Beautiful pieces of art related to Basant Panchami were decorated on the boards. The creativity of children was reflected in the displays.

A very special session by Sunita Narain India's most influential writer and environmentalist from CSE this session was attended by our students at Jaipur Literature Festival. CSE is the same organisation which has certified our school as Green school of India.

Once again on 16th Jan 2017, it was a great opportunity for the students of St. Edmunds Sector 5, Jawahar Nagar Jaipur, when they got the proud privilege of having an interactive session in the distinguished personalities of 23 Australian Universities like Curtin University, University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of South Australian, UTS Insearch, Western Sydney University, etc. Through, this interactive session senior students resolved their queries regarding higher education, scholarships, and the scope of admission into Universities. In this session, even students of different schools along with their teachers were also keen to know the different processes of admissions. Overall, the session was highly informative and shared the students with a new route towards channelizing their career into the proper path.  Dr. Pooja Singh expressed her gratitude towards the dignitaries for providing the students an exposure to such an international level of academics.
