Tiny tots of St Edmund’s School Jawahar Nagar, Pre-primary wing celebrated Dussehra on 16th October 2018. The festivities were filled with great enthusiasm in the presence of their parents. The little ones were dressed up in their best, like Ram, Lakshman, Sita, Ravan and Durga. The school was decorated very well covering each and every moment that Rama had encountered in his life. To mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil, the effigy of Ravana was burnt.

Deputy Director Mr Kapil Singh and Joint director Dr Pooja Singh from St.Edmund's School, Jawahar Nagar travelled halfway across the world to Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, to discuss plans for the future exchange programme with Emiliyan Stanev School.
Their visit lasted for a week, during which they got accustomed to the culture and heritage of the city. They were given a tour of the school and a lot of discussions were held related to the education system of both the countries which led to prospective exchange programme. The delegates from our school were given a very warm welcome with a rhythmic Bulgarian dance followed by a panel discussion with the deputies and the day ended with the much energetic tunes of the school band.
The meeting was successful and both the schools are looking forward to a long-lasting partnership...

St Edmunds Jawahar Nagar organized Economics workshop on 9th October in association with True friend publication. Teachers from various schools participated in the Economics workshop. The session was addressed by the eminent speaker and scholar Sh. J.P.Goel Associate professor, Head of the Department of Economics, Hindu post-graduate college Sonipat Haryana. (Apart from a prof. he is also a former member of “Economics Studies” at Maharishi Dayanand University).

The seminar aspired to cast light on recent changes in CBSE syllabus like project work, deliberation on critical and augmentative topics like consumer equilibrium, production function in microeconomics, National income, Income determination in Macroeconomics.
Queries of the teachers were elucidated and they thanked St. Edmund’s school and true friend publication for the workshop.
Dr N.D Mathur (Head, Department of Economics Manipal University ) was felicitated for his unabated support and contribution towards the enrichment of the Economics subject and its teaching pedagogies.

Lastly, Mrs Anu Bhatia expressed her warm appreciation to the teachers and members of Truefriend publication as it was a fruitful session for all the faculty who attended the event.

Students from St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur had participated in this year “Rang de Jaipur”. The event, which was organized by Let's Contree, an NGO that promotes and organizes community service projects, took place from 29 September -2 October 2018 at Jaipur Junction.

Nineteen Edmundities exhibited their innovative ideas through their artwork on the event’s theme -sports & active citizens along with 300 volunteers and 140 artists.

For the event, students painted murals on the walls of Jaipur Junction. Some students chose to paint scenes from sports games, such as a soccer player kicking a ball. All of the students’ excellent artwork was appreciated by the renowned artists and passers-by who visited the event. Principal Mrs Anu Bhatia appreciated the active participation of students and dedication towards making the city clean and colourful.

2018 Space Settlement Design Contest

Two students from St. Edmund’s school participated in an annual completion hosted by NASA Ames research center to brainstorm innovative ideas about space settlement and extraterrestrial life.
The two students Divyanshu Jhamtani and Kashish Jhamtani mentored by Mr JK Rawtani(HOD Physics)and Mrs Marudhara Avasthi created a list of criteria necessary for life to exist on another planet, for example, the students mentioned that gravity, water and gaseous atmosphere are prerequisites for life.

The students received appreciation certificates from the NASA Ames research centre in recognition of the quality of their project.
