The much-awaited Shri Ranbir Singh Memorial Tournament Interschool Chess and Taekwondo 2023 Sports meet brimmed the ground of St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar Jaipur with enthusiasm, excitement, and cheers on 17th Jan 2023. District Education officer Shri Rajendra Kumar Sharma presided over the event with the epitome of energy.

The award ceremony cum closing commenced with the School director Mr Sudhir Singh &Principal Mrs Anu Bhatia welcoming the esteemed gathering on 20th Jan with the chief guest: Ms. Munesh Gurjar (Mayor Nagar Nigam Heritage Jaipur), Special guests: Mr Satveer Choudhary (Vice Chairman, Rajasthan Sports Council, Government of Rajasthan), Mr KC Meena-IFS (Rajasthan Government), Ms Manju Meena-IIS, Dy Director DD Rajasthan (Ministry Of Information and Broadcasting, Government Of India)were present to grace the ceremony.

Students from various schools participated with zeal & enthusiasm in the four-day tournament & it was a delight to see the excitement with which children challenged themselves to attempt taekwondo & chess.
Announcement of the winners of the Shri Ranbir Singh tournament was done in a chess tournament in which Gold Medals were grabbed by Honi Arora U 14 from St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Gaurangee Sharma U9 from BVB Vidhyaasharm Pratap Nagar, Viraj Mangal -U11 from St. Anslem Sr Sec School, Rishit Lath -U15 from JPHS & Aditya Kumar -U19 from MPS Kalwar Road. Silver Medal was grabbed by Anjanay Sharma U9 from BVB Vidhyaasharm School Pratap Nagar, Rudra Kavia U11 from JPHS, Shreshtha Jain U15 from Neerja Modi School, Nishant Saxena U19 from BVB Vidhyaasharm School Pratap Nagar.
Bronze Medal was bagged by Aarav Gupta- U9 from Neerja Modi School, Veer Kumar U11 from JPHS, Vansh Batdiya U15 from JPHS & Parth Rawal U19 from MPS International School. In taekwondo Vimukti Girls grabbed 1st position, St Edmund’s School Jawahar Nagar bagged the 2nd position and Mps International won 3rd position.

The school teachers & young achievers were awarded & were applauded for their talent & their unmatched potential in the sports field. School Joint director Dr. Pooja Singh emphasized the importance of sports in a child's life.
