Students of St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar were given the opportunity to display their talents in Reflections International 2019 organised in association with City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow. Seventy teams from various countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal participated in the competition in which they learned about other countries, shared their own culture and national heritage and exchanged ideas. The events organized were as follows: a cultural event, in which the participants represented their state’s dance style; the creation of brochures and models of heritage sites to understand their importance and beauty; making movies about world unity, in which the students played the roles of famous personalities like Martin Luther King Jr. and Margaret Thatcher. Additionally, debates and various other competitions were organized. Princy Ghiya and Kanishka Saini made St. Edmunds proud by winning First Prize for their brochures. Both girls, along with Kanishka Sharma, Pari Jain, Hari Shankar Jha, and Rushika Dubey earned Third Prize in the dance competition.
The event allowed the children to experience different cultures and to meet students from regions both near and far. It was a great success.
