International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar with great enthusiasm.
The idea behind this was to reduce the stress level that the children are going through anxiety, depression & restlessness, due to the technology-driven world. Practising yoga helps to improve attentiveness and concentration to perform tasks with creativity for achieving success. Teachers demonstrated various asanas followed by Omkar chanting. Warm up exercises were taken, the importance of these was explained simultaneously. The celebration concluded with the synchronized recitation of shlokas. School joint director Dr Pooja Singh encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.
