The promising students of St. Edmund's School, Jawahar Nagar have taken a unique initiative by creating the first graphic novel on the French Revolution. With the continuous support of the School Deputy Director Mr Kapil Singh, Joint director Dr Pooja Singh and School Principal Mrs Anu Bhatia, staff and students all this was made possible. Students have demonstrated their intellectual prowess by creating a graphic novel of the French Revolution, embodying unimaginable work.
The team have tried to develop a smart learning tool which will not only help the students to fight the phobia of history but it will open doors for quick learning. The main motive was to provide maximum knowledge in a minimalistic but interesting manner.
The magnificent book was released at the History Festival organized by the Sawai Mansingh Museum II
The graphic novel was launched by Retd General Puri an author of Kargil turning the tide and Mr Sudhir Mathur, a connoisseur of crafts and culture, committed to initiating social impact, a keen promoter of young talent & a humanist.
The Central Board of Secondary Education had long strived to create graphic material on the creation of graphic novels, the students of St Edmund’s exemplify their efforts.
Mr Sandeep Sethi JI(Director Education, M.S.M.S. II, Museum Trust) also praised the efforts of the students and said that the result of the hard work of the students is that today the first graphic comic book has been prepared for which the whole school administration deserves appreciation.
The Director of the school, Dr Sudhir Kumar Singh and Principal Mrs Anu Bhatia, congratulated all the members of the Comics Books Advisory Committee for their excellent work.
