St. Edmund’s School , Jawahar Nagar, organised “Pre-School Graduation Ceremony”. It was held for students of prep class. During the ceremony children of prep class were awarded with the “pre-School Graduate” title.

The end of preschool marks a very important step in a child’s life. It is important to celebrate this moment and pay tribute to our very young students as we know that they have started their remarkable towards their bright future, with an event that will be as memorable as the rest of the year was. As guardians of the kids also attended the ceremony it became a vital communication platform for parents and teachers. This was the first time that such a unique and commendable ceremony was organised for the little kids of St. Edmunds. Every student was awarded with a certificate and given the title of a “Pre-School Graduate”, we hope these certificates will carry pleasant memories for a long time to come. Every child is incredibly special to us. They have all worked very hard to learn more and more every day, they have played together learned together and made special friends whom we wish they will carry in their hearts all through their life.
On this occasion some selected meritorious students were awarded with various different titles. Khusagra Mehta was awarded the Mr. Edmunds title, Miss Edmunds title was given to Waziha Shamsi, Best-in-academic award was given to Aarav Sharma, Best-in-Sports title was awarded to Arshit Shinha, all-rounder title was awarded to Jasmine Grover and 100% attendance award was given to Chitrang Ghiya. The purpose of this award ceremony was to give students an opportunity to receive appreciation for their hard work and get inspiration and motivation to work harder in the coming years and grow up to become good human beings as that is the most important thing in life.

On this occasion the school’s academic director Smt. Mina Singh congratulated every child of the preparatory class who were promoted to standard one and said till now along study they were involved in sports and various other interesting activities but students start their actual study from standard one. Here they will have to face challenges in sports as well as educational performance. Smt. Mina Singh on this occasion requested guardians of the students to fully support them with their studies so that they don’t face any difficulty as our children move onto a new year with new challenges. Guide them into their bright future filled with dreams and aspiration.

imperative in today’s era to create global citizens who understand transitional features and with this purpose St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur furthered their bond of friendship with Wellington School, Scotland through an exchange program.

Edmund’s hosted a delegation comprising Mr. Simon Johnson (Principal), Mrs. Susan, M. Coontz (International Coordinator), Miss Lousie Thrippleton staff member, and 15 students from Wellington School, Scotland. The delegation was given a traditional Indian welcome in the School by Principal, Teachers and Students.

They visited classrooms which helped them to know about the education system of India. At the same time, Edmundites mesmerized their counterparts with their traditional dance and visual presentation about Rajasthan. The students of our School interacted with their teammates also which was a special moment as it helped them to better understand each other’s culture and education system.

Edmundites showcased many innovative and useful products that they had made from waste material. The works of our students were highly appreciated.

The delegates were awestruck by the Haat Bazaar put up by the students.

Mr. Simon Johnson, Principal remarked, “India is a dream destination i.e. Rajasthan and the two days are very less to explore the place. He thanked everyone in the School for the awesome Hospitality.

Dr. Pooja Singh remarked, “This is not just an exchange program, this is the beginning of a long lasting friendship which will be cherished by us forever.”

St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, has always worked for the overall development of its students, and taking yet another step forward in the direction, the school hosted a workshop by the Reliance Foundation and National Basketball Association (NBA).

Organised on 29 January, over 300 students from classes 3 to 9 actively participated in the 2.30-hr workshop, which was headed by junior NBA coach Mr. Daniel from Portugal. Dr. Pooja Singh took over to conclude the workshop by thanking him and cordially inviting the workshop organisers. She also said that Edmund’s family has always believed in providing a unique high-quality specialised sports program to help students explore their potential to the full.

The celebration began with the chanting of prayers in the praise of the Almighty. Dr. Pooja Singh bestowed all good wishes, blessings, and an optimistic outlook toward career and future on behalf of the whole Edmund’s family.

A light entertainment programme which included dances, songs and a speech by a head boy and the head girl received loud applause. As per tradition, many coveted titles were conferred namely, Best in Academics: Ajay Gupta and Himanshu Haryani, Best in Co-Curricular Activities: Juhi Bachani and Sahil Dhingra, Best in Sports: Nishtha Mittal and Aman Panwar, Best in Discipline: Anushka Mathur and Bhavin Mehta, Highest Attendance: Ajay Gupta, Mr. Edmund’s: Ajay Gupta, Ms. Edmund’s: Chestha Mathuria, Mr. Farewell: Sahitya Sharma and Ms. Farewell: Riya Sharma. Dancing on the floor on the beats of Electronic Dance Music and delicacies served for lunch marked the wrapping up of the party with both happiness and sorrow.

Fire is undoubtedly the most essential ingredient for cooking. As is recognized by even the latest generation that quite a lot depends on microwaves, cooking on coal, fire or cooking-gas renders a better taste to food.

However, when St. Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar, asked its students if they can or would like to prepare some gastronomical treats for their friends without using heat and fire, the excited students, shouted “Yes!” And thus was organized a school competition for students of Classes 6th and 7th, where the students were pitted against each other to prepare breakfast without fire. The Guest of Honor and judge was Dr. Suchi Sharma, one of the most well-known dieticians of Jaipur, who had a tough time deciding the top three winners. The total time given to each team was 1 hour, wherein the students presented a deliciously healthy breakfast.

The excited students had come up with new ideas for the first meal of the day. The juice inside capsicum, fruit cream, bread baked with fruits, fruit salad topped with grated coconut … they prepared it all . With such a delightful display, it came out clear why the judge faced a tough time deciding the winners! However, she declared Palm House the winners followed by Daisy House and Lily House. While declaring the winners, she talked to students explaining the importance of a healthy diet right. Dr. Pooja Singh, congratulating the winners said that she totally agreed with the Chief Guest and further added that a healthy breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it energizes the body right when needed the most. She further repeated John Gunther’s words, “All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast” and congratulated the winners.
