District Taekwondo Association, Jaipur organized Junior – Senior championship in St Edmund’s School, Jawahar Nagar on 6th June, 2010. Smt. Jyoti Khandelwal, Mayor of Jaipur, inaugurated the ceremony. Other guests of honour were Mr. Yogendra Sihatwar, Mr. V Agarwal, and school’s Director, Dr. Sudhir Kr. Singh, Principal Mrs. Meena Singh. More than 150 students from various schools across the city participated in the competition. The fights were organized in sub-junior, junior and senior categories. In the sub – junior category, Alzenia Quereshi, from St. Edmund’s School jawahar nagar, jaipur won the Gold medal. Whereas Azhar won the Gold medal in Junior category. In senior category, the Gold medal was taken by Manoj Raya, Ravi Jarwal and Umesh Mathur. The awards were distributed by the Mayor, Mrs. Jyoti Khandelwal. Mrs. Meena Singh (Principal) also appreciated the effort and said that these type of activities help in the overall development of a child. Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Sanjay Devnath and Mr. Sriram Chaudhary.
